Employee Health Management

Skylark Group Health and Productivity Management Declaration

Skylark Group believes that "keeping our employees lively and healthy in mind and body" will result in fulfilling our mission.

Top Message

Based on the belief that "a company cannot grow without the mental and physical well-being of its employees," we position employee health as a vital management resource and consider health and productivity management a top priority.
We are confident that when each of our employees can work with vitality, both mentally and physically, it forms the foundation for achieving our company's management philosophy.

Based on this policy, we have established the following Key Goal Indicators (KGIs).
  • Employees health check-up rate 100% by 2030, 100% by 2050
  • Employees smoking rate            10% by 2030, Zero by 2050

We have set these KGIs as long-term goals, based on our 2015 employee smoking rate.
As a result of continuous efforts, the employee smoking rate has decreased to 19.4%, and the employee health check-up rate has been maintained at 99.9%. We recognize this achievement as a testament to the company and its employees working together to create a healthier environment.
In each department, we appoint a "Health Promotion Leader" and entrust them with the task of promoting employee health. To support smoking cessation, we will continue to offer free distribution of smoking cessation aids and online smoking cessation programs, and promote initiatives to achieve our goals.
Through these efforts, we aim to enhance employee health, improve productivity and engagement, and ultimately increase our corporate value.

Examples of Initiatives

Target Percentage of Employees Undergoing Health Checks: 100%

We have set a target of 100% of full-time employees undergoing health checks and are working toward this target on a Group-wide basis every year. We have established a follow-up system for employees to receive support from their superiors so that they can receive necessary medical examinations without fail.

Women's Health

We recommend that not only insured persons but also dependents undergo gynecological checkups.

Measures to Prevent the Aggravation of Disease

The results of health checkups are shared between the company and its Health Insurance Society, and treatment and medication are confirmed for eligible employees while giving care and consideration to the protection of personal information.

Smoking Cessation Project

Prior to the enforcement of the Act on Prevention of Passive Smoking, we implemented a 100% smoking ban on the premises of all Group stores and restaurants. Since 2014, the Company and its Health Insurance Society have been conducting a joint campaign to help employees quit smoking.
