Our Policy on Serving Alcoholic Beverages

Policy and Approach

Skylark Group stores and restaurants offer a variety of alcoholic beverages to match the dishes served. As a company that serves alcoholic beverages, we comply with laws and regulations and strive to eradicate inappropriate drinking.
Through manuals and employee training, we seek to thoroughly prevent drunk driving and underage drinking.

Examples of Action

Notes and Warnings in Menu Books

To prevent drunk driving and underage drinking, in accordance with the Promotional Material Labeling Guidelines, all menu books contain cautionary statements such as "We refuse the sale of alcohol to customers under the age of 20" and "We refuse the sale of alcohol to customers driving cars." When customers order alcoholic beverages from a store's digital menu book, we confirm each time that the customer placing the order does not fall under either of these categories, in order to prevent drunk driving and underage drinking.

Notes and Warnings in Advertisements and Promotional Materials

In accordance with the Act on Securing of Liquor Tax and on Liquor Business Associations, Skylark states that it will not sell alcohol to minors at its stores, in its menu books and promotional tools. Promotional materials distributed to customers prior to visiting restaurant locations, such as promotional flyers and coupons, clearly state that alcohol is not served to minors or drivers, as part of our efforts to prevent drunk driving and underage drinking.

Initiatives to Promote Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Excessive consumption of alcohol is one factor that adversely affects health, such as by causing lifestyle-related diseases. It is generally said that women should refrain from drinking alcohol during pregnancy. In addition to offering a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including non-alcoholic beers with an alcohol content of 0.00%, some Skylark brands also offer soft drink bars to encourage people to refrain from consuming alcohol.
