Hawaii Maui Wildfire Emergency Relief Fund

Skylark Group made a donation at its approximately 2,700 stores nationwide to support relief efforts for the areas affected by the Maui wildfires in Hawaii. Donations received from customers will be used to provide financial assistance to residents and for recovery efforts on Maui through the Hawaii Community Foundation "Maui Strong Fund".

Children's Playground Support Funds

As part of its social contribution activities, Skylark Group has been implementing the "Children's Playground Support Fund" since June 2021 to support the activities of the non-profit organization Playground of Hope ("POH"), and has been installing playground equipment with donations received from customers and employees. Around 40 members of POH staff and our employees who volunteered, worked together with the children to assemble the large playground equipment and four benches.

By setting up playground equipment and preparing dinner with the children, we had a special time that we will never forget. Many of our employees commented that they were happy to see the children's smiling faces and that it was fun to work with them.
We also received a thank you message from the children’s home “the playground equipment brought more smiles to the children's faces than before, and that it created lifelong memories for the children.”

We will continue to contribute to SDGs activities through our business, which has stores in all prefectures, with the aim of realizing a society in which all children can grow up with their own dreams and hopes.

Green Fund (National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization)

Skylark group donates a portion of cutlery sales for take-out and delivery to the Green Fund (National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization) for the promotion of forest maintenance and greening. A portion of the proceeds will be sent to the National Land Afforestation Promotion Organization to be used for activities to support the maintenance of forests and the promotion of greening.

Children's Future Support Fund

Skylark Group supports the National Campaign for Supporting the Future of Children, which aims to realize a society where all children can grow up with dreams and hopes by promoting measures against child poverty (the promotion secretariat consists of the Agency for Children and Families, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and the Independent Administrative Institution Welfare and Medical Care Corporation). We are conducting fund-raising activities at approximately 2,700 of our stores nationwide.
Donations received from customers will be delivered to the Secretariat of the National Campaign for Supporting Children's Future, and will be used to support the activities of NPOs and other organizations working to address poverty among children in various regions.

Turkey and Syria Earthquake Emergency Relief Fund

Skylark Group made a donation at its approximately 2,700 stores nationwide to support relief activities in Turkey, Syria, and the surrounding areas affected by the disaster. Your donations will be used to support the victims in both countries through the United Nations Association for UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), the official support window of the UNHCR in Japan.

Torrential Rains of September 2022 (Shizuoka Prefecture)

Skylark Group implemented fund-raising activitiesat our stores in Shizuoka Prefecture (excluding some stores) to help those affected by Typhoon No. 15 in September 2022.  The collected donations to be delivered to the Countermeasures Headquarters in Shizuoka to support those affected by the disaster.

UNHCR Ukraine Humanitarian Aid in 2022

Skylark Group took place in-store donations to assist the people in Ukraine and the surrounding areas who are affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict. All donations will be transferred to UNHCR (the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) through an official agency, Japan Association for UNHCR, to assist refugees and displaced persons.

Japan’s Torrential Rains of August 2021

We conducted in-store fund-raising activities at all stores (some exclusions may apply) to help those affected by the floods caused by the heavy rains that began on August 11, 2021. The Donations will be delivered to Saga, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Nagano, and Hiroshima prefectures, which were severely damaged, and will be used to support the victims of the disaster.

2020 Kyushu Floods

In order to support the people who have been damaged by the torrential rains happened in July 2020, we carried out store-front donation activities at our restaurants in the Kyushu area (excluding some stores).
The received donations will be delivered to Kumamoto, Oita and Fukuoka Prefectures which have been severely damaged, and will be used to support the affected people.

The collected donations will be delivered to the following twelve prefectures (*) to support those affected by the disaster.

The received donations will be delivered to the countermeasures headquarters in Chiba for their use in supporting the victims.

Education Support Fund for Earthquake Orphans and Other Affected Children

Skylark Group is undertaking fund-raising activities to support funds for the education of children orphaned or otherwise affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake so that they can choose a career course of their preference in the future. The Group is sending entrusted contributions to windows for educational funds operated by Miyagi, Iwate and Fukushima prefectures.

Hokkaido Eastern Iburi Earthquake in 2018

Skylark Group donated the same amount as the fund which was raised by Customers & Skylark Group Employees, and the total fund was delivered it to the Hokkaido Disaster Relief Donation Committee.
