Our group is actively promoting the implementation of an environmental management system to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Specifically, we aim to improve environmental performance and strengthen information disclosure through the following initiatives.
Implementation of Environmental Management System
- An environmental management system is implemented in compliance with international standards such as ISO 14001, establishing a structured cycle of setting, implementing, evaluating, and improving environmental objectives.
- The environmental impact of business operations is evaluated, reduction targets are established, and detailed action plans are created to achieve these goals.
- Supplier environmental performance is integrated into the procurement decision-making process, and a robust system is established to ensure compliance with environmental standards across the entire supply chain through regular evaluations and strengthened collaboration.
Monitoring of Environmental Performance
- Environmental data such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and waste generation are measured and analyzed annually to monitor environmental performance.
- The progress towards environmental goals is evaluated, and corrective actions are taken when necessary to ensure continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Implementation of Related Policies and Strengthening of Information Disclosure
- The implementation of environmental-related policies and information disclosure will be carried out under the supervision of the Board of Directors, with the President and COO serving as the Chairman, the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSuO) as the Vice Chairman, and the Chairman and CEO, Executive Officers, and Presidents of Group Companies as members, based on the approval of the "Sustainability Committee."
- We will collaborate with government agencies to share information on environmental regulations, work with business partners to reduce the environmental impact across the entire supply chain, and proactively disclose environmental information to investors. Through these discussions, we aim to enhance transparency, strengthen cooperation with stakeholders, and build trust.
- Environmental information will be actively disclosed through our website and integrated reports to ensure transparency.
